Wow, I forgot to set my alarm. I got to work at 0730, and thought I had to take an hour of leave. Turns out I have to work 10/80 for the next four weeks like a normal person. No compressed schedule, more leave is going to have to be used for going to Denver. That’s alright, I kind of need it. I like the idea of having more time to sleep in the morning. Maybe this will make me more powerful when I head off to Wyoming.
I had my lunch run. I felt good starting off, but my times didn't show any improvement. I ran the airfield, and got just over 7 minute miles. The stats are:
Duration: 22:34
Max HR: 191 BPM
Avg HR: 174 BPM
Calories:348 Cal, 30 % Fat
I also weighed myself. I don't know if the scale was off or what, but depending on which way I leaned it would give me radically different measurements. I was anywhere from 147-157. I am guessing closer to 157, but with the way I ate this weekend, who knows.
The evening football game was fun, but I sat out all the offensive plays. Didn't amount to much of a work-out. I wanted to be out there, but I have played the whole game most games, and it is getting frustrating. On Wednesday, we will win.

I got up this morning and felt like poo. I needed a kick in the pants or crotch, whichever would get me going. I decided to go to ET, then to Whole Foods to get something for dinner. ET was great, as always.
Warm-up: Problems less than V3, and downclimb a close route.
Training: Re-attempt 4x4 projects
Do a few routes that I have done before that I can accomplish 100% of the time. This shows me that I am getting weaker. Must rest; maybe do a whole week of rest.
Work on few “doable” projects. Didn’t finish any of them, but had great first attempts on them all.
Cool down: To cool down and de-pump, I did a single 30 minute ARC session. I was quite sweaty at the end of it, and even caused my shuffle to malfunction (always a indication of a good workout).
Lifting: I almost couldn’t pull myself in here today. I tried to resist, my body was tired, my brain was worked, and I was already sweaty. I was able to pull off two sets of each of my regular after-climbing lifts. It helped the sweat evaporate so I wouldn’t look like a monster at whole foods.
Dinner: At whole foods I saw too much stuff that I wanted. Delicious food was everywhere. I got some oranges, organic orange juice, organic butter, guac mix (along with ingredients), taco seasoning (along with ingredients, ground beef), and some fresh fruit.
I went home and started cooking my beef. As that was on the backburner, I started to make my guac. I apparently am horrible at choosing the correct avocado because the ones I did choose were much too hard to amount to anything. After cutting up the first one I decided that it needed softening. Thinking quickly, I threw them in the pan with my taco meat. It ended up softening just right and creating a delicious flavor with my tacos. I still have a second avocado, which will hopefully soften with time.

Today was a rest day. I wanted to correct my internal clock. I woke up and still felt nauseous. It would last throughout the day. I don’t know if it was what I ate the day before (unhealthy), or the fact that I had so much makers mark, but I didn’t feel good all day. It was rainy, and a pain to leave the house. I finally made it out and got some buffalo wings from Casa Mias. They were good, but could have been better. This weekend was highlighted by my poor nutritional choices. As I was getting ready for bed, I got a call to go see a movie and get a drink. I couldn’t force my body to go out in the rain after last weekend. I hate the rain.

I woke up today and didn’t feel rested at all. I think it was from staying up till 1 last night. After lying around the house, I decided to go to Ballys and finally get in that leg lift that I have been missing. I had some lunch beforehand, which was an entire bag of edamame. I ran a short distance to warm up. After this I went to the squat rack. After my first set I started to feel weird, like a tight tourniquet was being wrapped around my right leg. I immediately stopped for fear of injury and did 30 minutes on the elliptical. I will be sure to lift legs next week, and hopefully find what caused this pain.

Dinner was Shrimp Fried Rice and a California roll from Chopsticks. It could be healthier, but who am I to be eating fancy healthy meals.
Friday night I went out for a couple of drinks, then went and saw Paranormal Activity. The way the movie was filmed made me feel nauseous. Another night to screw with my internal clock, I finally was in bed at 1 AM.

The lunch football game was incredible. Everyone just went out there and goofed off and had a good time. I am still having trouble tapping into my speed. I think it is because of all the endurance training I have been doing lately. This is the only workout I will get today, which is nice. I think a rest weekend is in order to prepare to climb on Sunday.
After work at the bike shop I went to DuClaws for trivia. I had a couple beers and a BBQ Brisket sandwich. This shouldn’t stress me too much, but may hurt my sleep clock.

Today I ran the air field. I didn’t feel very good. As soon as I got started my legs felt pumped. I finished in 23:28, an average time. I pushed it towards the end, and got a good max hr of 192. I took a long time stretching afterwards to prepare for the football game later that night.
Avg HR: 166 BPM
Max HR: 189 BPM
327 Calories, 35% from fat
The football game was fun. We had some big plays, but there were times where I wanted to sprint, but couldn’t muster the speed that I am used to. Maybe that was just lag from running 3 miles earlier in the day.

Too Much Exercise? Monday October 20, 2009
Ran for 40 minutes today. My new heart rate monitor was confusing. It set my upper limit at 155 bpm, and I felt like I was going way too slow. I have adjusted my watch, and for a 40 minute run I will be between 143 and 162. Here are the stats:
Time: 40minutes 18seconds
HR: 152 BPM Average; 172 BPM Peak (137-155 Range, damn thing was beaping the entire run)
Cal: 494 Calories
Earth Treks was almost devastating. I will need to spend some time taking care of my tips tonight. I did get asked to go to Coopers on Sunday, hopefully the weather holds. As for the work out, here are the stats from my watch:
Duration: 2 hours 3 minutes
Cal: 1051 (not sure how accurate this is, but oh well)
HR: 184 Max, 128 Average (pretty good, that average is from rests as well)
I would try to get my HR below 110 before attempting a problem, I think I should have tried to get it lower. Still having troubles breathing. MUST WORK ON THIS!!
I don't think I am going to bring the watch anymore, unless I am doing an ARC session.
Finished off the day with a BAJA Fresh Burrito. I will probably finish my ice cream and drink some OJ before bed. Maybe I will devour my Pomegranate. Tomorrow for breakfast I am going to finish off the sloppy joe mixture with some scrambled eggs in a tortilla. Probably best breakfast ever.
